Thursday 25th July
Katy Perry & Taylor Swift Tribute night..... this was again well attended with youngsters from the area enjoying a brilliant show by the two tribute acts. Nearly 300 children and adults attended the show.
Friday Night 26th July
Show opened with the brilliant Gina Price getting everyone up on theuir feet and dancing in the ailse. QII - ultimate Queen tribute band followed, and again kept everyone on their feet..... a great event suppoprted by Santander ladies who sold the raffle on the night.....all in all a truly memorable evening yet again. Our thanks to Holyhead Round Table & Ynys Cybi 41 Club who hosted this event for the festival.
Saturday 27th July
Carnival Parade, this consisted of approx 20+ Majorette Troupes, 15 artic cab units, numerouse business floats and the Bangor Batala Samba band. Afterwards the queen & princess held their ceremony to crown the winning entrants. As well as the parade we also had Simons Funfair, Live Bands at the LL65 Live event in the main tent. This consisted of local bands putting on a great show for Holyhead. We also had the Premier dance majorette Comp, Hearts of Oak re-enactment society & lots more
"Los Palmas 6" Madness tribute Act rocked the night, but all credit to local band Flux who also brought the house down with their set. Another great evening for Holyhead.
Sunday 28th July
Welsh Family show with S4C (Welsh Television) characters Betsan Brysur & Tara Tan Toc plus others 10am, followed by the Cybi Striders breakwater race, this was well attended with over 120 runners taking part. This was closely followed by the Search & Rescue Display by Holyhead Lifeboat and the Holyhead Coastguard Mountain Rescue team, Simons Funfair, Hearts of Oak, American Wrestling from 3pm in the main marquee...plus a first for the festival we had the "We're a Knockout" competiton. 7 teams battling it out to win the trophy... this was a great event to take part in and also to watch, I am sure this will be back again next year.
Holyhead thanks its Emergency Services - an evening laid on for staff and volunteers of our emergency services (Police, Fire, Ambulance, RNLI, Coastguard, Air Ambulance etc etc)...a well attened event and a nice way to end our main weekend of events.
Monday 29th July
This saw 3 Holyhead Majorette troupes coming together to put on a fun filled event for the children. Well attended and a lot of fun and dancing by all.
